Blast Off

Caught mid-leap, this dynamic painting showcases the incredible skill of a cowboy astride a bucking bronco. His knees are gathered in, feet high in the stirrups, one hand loosely outstretched for balance, while the other grips tightly.

There is total concentration on his face, and for good reason. . . the slightest mistake would send him flying from the horse’s back into the dirt, putting him in danger of those powerful, flying hooves!

This painting was created from my own photo. I was at the annual Cloverdale, B.C., Canada rodeo and took quite a few photos.
