Holiday Slow Down

I am having a hard time getting going after the holidays - haven't started any new paintings and the one I had on the go before Christmas looks kinda blah! Every time I walk past it, all I can see are dull colors - it's a row of horses standing out in a pasture. Maybe that is what it needs - a blast of bright colors. Yeah, that sounds good. Who says everything has to be the colors of winter .....
