Shed Row Market, Horses and Good Food

Today we went to The Shed Row Market (www.theshedrowmarket.com) at Fields and Flowers Farm, 900-232nd Street, S. Langley, B.C. Market sales go to benefit the New Stride Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (www.newstride.com).

It was a perfect fall day, the countryside in this area is beautiful, and we got to pet and admire two Thoroughbreds who are up for adoption. Not only that, but we purchased grainy fig mustard, Southern style cornbread (or johnnycake), and a loaf of Tuscan blueberry bread, all locally made. I saw a pumpkin pie that was a work of art. There were lots of lovely looking vegetables too. Artists and jewelry makers were there too…. if you are in the area tomorrow, please drop by and help the horses – especially if you have ever won money betting on them at the track! Hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
