I just know 2012 is going to be a fantastic year art wise – because I’ve got my order of paints, canvas, etc. and I’ve already started two paintings thanks to Art Depot in Escazu which ships my supplies to me by local bus. I order on line and, presto, a day later my order is ready for pick-up at the bus terminal in Atenas.
These ones are smaller than what I am used to – 9″x12″ – but it’s interesting to work at this size. The two paintings I have on the go right now are of a beach dog and cat who live at Playa Dona Ana on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
A change from my usual horses and cattle …. but I like the subjects. The dog is almost finished except for the eyes and some more detail on his coat. The cat I have just started.
I promise to post photos soon and also want to apologize for not posting very much since we moved to Costa Rica.
