A New Year

A new year and I’ve been sluggish about painting. However, I got inspired by a photograph of a rescue horse from the wonderful organization S.A.F.E. (Save A Forgotten Equine) in Monroe, WA. www.safehorses.org.  The photo was posted on their Facebook page and I received permission to paint the head of this lovely lady. I’ll donate the finished work to their charity auction later this year. I win (forces me to paint), the horses win (if someone buys the painting).

My cow ladies (“In The Moo’d” and “Wired”) have arrived in Blaine, WA. I’ll zip across the border and pick them up. They enjoyed a nice holiday in Greune, Texas, from October to December, 2010, lolling around at Cactus Jack’s Gallery. “In The Moo’d” won second place in the American Society of Bovine Artists 2nd Annual Art Show, held at Cactus Jack’s.
