Big Boy

Amidst the long, sun-dried grass, a giant bovine moves ponderously, one hoof in front of the other, chewing slowly as he goes.

Two down-turned horns extend from a tuft of curly white hair, while his watchful eyes track my every movement. . . wondering, no doubt, why I’m disturbing his idyllic summer day.

“Big Boy” was exhibited at the 2009 American Society of Bovine Artists’ Show and Sale, Gruene, Texas.
